Saving June

I really liked this book. Which I guess isn’t much of a surprise considering I usually like books that contain some tragedy and a little romance. I think Hannah Harrington did a fabulous job on her debut novel.

I got pulled into the plot and the characters as soon as I started reading. I also liked the fact that Harper and Jake didn’t just instantly fall in love and their relationship wasn’t perfect. There were painful and difficult themes, but humor was added to make it easier to read.

Also I thought the whole basis of music made the book more memorable. I enjoyed how music played such an important role in all of their lives. Music was able to connect a bunch of people, just as it does in real life. Not to mention the soundtrack of songs was fantastic.
